One Year Old!

I had a dentist appointment the other day the and Dentist told me congrats on having a baby, then she found out he was turning one. But I realized congrats are still in order -  Ryker survived a year of Kev and I being his parents and Kev and I are still mostly sane after a year of being parents haha. This was seriously the fastest year I have ever experienced. It flew by! Ryker is so much fun and lots of work. He is starting to walk more and more and just smiles so big, looks so proud, and laughs the whole time his is walking. He likes to do happy screams at the top of his lunges. Pretty sure all of Fred Meyer's heard us at the grocery store today, He was SO incredibly loud and everyone wanted to stop and talk to us, and about his cast. He still adores Mozzie. Ryker understands and gets super excited when we ask Mozzie if she wants to go outside. Ryker will crawl to the door as quick as he can and grabs the leash, all ready to go. He still loves books! He rarely likes stuffed animals, although he is warming up to them. He loves all food, unless it is green, then he hates it. He still loves playing in the water and in the grass and dirt. Loves animals and gets super excited when we see dogs on our walks. He helps blow off his food. He just started to point towards things which is quite helpful! When we ask him to give us a kiss, he looks at us very seriously with his mouth part way open and then leans in. It's so funny watching him do it to Kev, because he is so serious and focused on Kev's mouth haha He is such a joy - for the most part. But we love him!

We went and saw Snoqualmie Falls

He did not enjoy the swings

His hairs grows so weird, it's gotten so much worse!

This picture doesn't do the sunset justice, it was so pretty!

We brought this home for Ryker. Oh my heck, he HATED it! It ABSOLUTELY terrified him!.. But it was the funniest thing ever - how he would try to avoid it and flinch if it got close. But he is starting to warm up to it.

Like I said earlier, Ryker is scared of stuffed animals. He sat there and cried cause he would have to crawl past the bear to get to me.

 So chill haha

The night before the surgery, we had to get pictures of his hand.

The surgery went really good. There was muscle attached to the extra thumb which they weren't expecting. And the doctor has to get rid of a bunch of cartilage. But the Doctor was really happy with how it went and happy with how it looks. The first day was pretty rough. Ryker kept shaking his arm, trying to get the cast off. So we would walk outside to distract him. After I put him to bed, Kev asked, "Can we just hold each other and cry?" So that explains the first day. But he is doing so good. He is getting used to it and hasn't let it stop him.

This little stinker, thinks it is a game to flush the toilet. He gives me the biggest smiles, right before he flushes it...it drives me crazy! haha

I woke him up with balloons, he seemed to like it.

He was mad in the first video because I took his spoon so that he would walk to me. The next video, is how he usually walks, he just usually goes farther.

Ryker's First Car

Grandma and Grandpa Cook gave Ryker his first car. He loves being pushed in it!

One Year Old Pictures

I tried to take some one year old pictures of Ryker, I had fun with it. But Ryker is just so cute! So I couldn't only post a couple. ...so here are a like a million pictures of him!

I was so excited for him to eat his cake... and it was so DISAPPOINTING! All he wanted to do was get frosting on his fingers and wipe it all over the floor. Kevin finally smashed up the cake and put frosting on Ryker's face s we could get some different pictures haha

Kevin was nice enough to help with the pictures

And here are some pictures I tried doing different effects to
