Ava is 6 months old!

 Ava is 6 months old!
Height: 26 1/2 inches around 75 percentile
Weight: 16 lbs 10 oz around 60 percentile

She is still the sweetest, most chill baby. A week ago she finally figured out how to roll over and is now all over the place. She discovered her tongue and is usually sticking it out. She just loves Ryker. Loves watching him and LOVES when he interacts with her. She will laugh so easily for him! But other than that she is very reserved with her laughs! Since she was born Kev calls her 'Baby Love'. She loves to be "thrown/tossed" in the air, or bounced in the air. I think she will really like roller coasters when she is older.  She is always sucking on her bottom lip. The past 6 months have just flown by!

September

Some things I don't want to forget:

One day in the car I had to slow down because of the car in front of me. From the backseat I hear Ryker yell "GO!" I realized I have some road rage. Whenever a car is doing something I don't agree with I yell "GO!" And Ryker picked up on it. It's a good thing that's all I say! haha

If I do something sudden or fast while I am driving Ryker says "Whoa mom!"

A couple weeks ago I gave Ryker a shower for the first time. He LOVED it. He will stand right in the middle of the stream of water with his head down, and just stand there, probably forever if I let him.

Ryker has realized the only way to talk to Ava is in a high pitched, excited voice. Whenever Ava is crying he will pat her and say "you ok baby". One day I put Ava down for a nap, she started crying but I ran downstairs. Well I hear Ryker run down the hall, open the door, yell "You  okay baby" and slam the door shut. Then he ran back down the hall. Well he did that like 4 times before I was able to get back upstairs. Ryker is always very concerned where Ava is. If I put him in the car first then he makes sure I know I need to grab Ava. If I get him out of the car first he points to and says "Baby?". He tries to feed her grapes, bananas, and crackers. He is always giving her toys, usually it's on her face or tries to put it in her mouth. One day I was pretending to eat Ava's feet. I looked away and when I looked back Ryker had Ava's foot in his mouth haha I had to explain I was pretending and tried to get him just to kiss her feet. Ava loves the 'If you're happy and you know it' song. Ryker loves to add, if you're happy then be a dinasour, cow, and a horse. Ava went through a phase where every time Ryker growled she would get all scared and cry. Ryker thought it was pretty funny. A couple times Ava and I have chased Ryker around the house. Ava loves it, gets all excited and screams. It's pretty cute. Ryker is always asking "book, baby?" He loves me reading books to him and Ava. He loves trying to get Ava all excited, smiling, and laughing.

Ryker is always trying to do things by himself, it's kind of rough. He especially wants to put his plates and bowls in the sink when he is done. More likely then not, food ends up on the ground. If we put our phones down and walk away, he grabs them and brings them to us. When he does something to help us he says 'Thank you Mom'. He hasn't quite figured out you're welcome.

Ryker calls himself "BaBa". I have no idea why. Mozzie's name is always "BaBa".

Ryker still calls most animals by their noises. So a horse is "neigh", a monkey is "ooo-oo". WE have tried and tried to get him to say their names. We slowly say the word, like h-o-r-s-e and Ryker says n-e-i-g-h.

Ryker always takes his shows and socks off in nursery. I think he gets too hot.

After Ryker does something hard, he does a really big, deep breath/sigh and says it was hard.

When we read books to Ryker, especially before he goes to bed, he makes sure we have our arm around him.

Ryker is always running without looking where he goes, so he is always running into doors and walls.

When we are in the car and Ryker says something with "Dad" in the sentence then dad and comment back to him. If I comment, he will say the same thing over and over again till Dad responds. And the same goes for "mom".

When Ryker thinks we are something is going on that we would be really frustrated with, he does a really frustrated sigh. Like when we drive into the garage and hear Mozzie and Bella (when we are watching her) barking, he will do a really frustrated sigh and march to the door.

More times then not when he is cleaning up his toys he will sing the 'Clean up' song.

Ryker is becoming a huge fan of dad! Every time he wakes up from his nap or in the morning the first thing he says is where's dad? And wants to find him. He has started to say 'Buh-Bye Daddy' in the morning. Some morning he cries saying 'Dad, back?' Wanting him to come back. Ryker is obsessed with playing 'hippo daddy' or basketball with Dad. He talks about it all day long!

Ryker is obsessed with sauces! -Sour cream, ranch, ketchup, bbq sauce, anything Dad is eating.

The whole time I feed Ava she curls her toes and rolls her feet in circles.

Ryker says 'ah-vee' for 'love you'.

When Ryker is crying or has something in his eye he says 'Sandbox eye'. This happened ever since Grandma Albaugh got a sandbox. The first couple times he got sand in his eye and now he claims he has a sandbox in his eye when something is wrong with his eye haha.

Our September in pictures:

We went to Blacktail Reservoir one Friday. There was NO one there, it was awesome. We were able to borrow Caitlin's kayak which was fun.

Ava is very loved!

He LOVES his showers

'Hippo Daddy?!' I hear this all day!

For some reason she was SO tired after I nursed her. It's rare I just get to sit and hold her while she sleeps, so I just enjoyed it.

Kevin made me another headboard, I love it!

Facetiming with Caitlin

Ava finally tried rice cereal. She likes it, tries to grab the spoon and bowl. Whenever she would eat it Ryker would clap and say 'Yah baby!' Ryker was very supportive!

I had the chance to hang out with Tiana and Mallory from high school and their cute kids. Ryker loved hanging out with Kennedy. I have never seen him play so well with another kid or for that long.
Went to the zoo with Grandma.

Watched Maddy play volleyball

Ava and Ryker at 5 months. Both chubby and big heads haha

Kev made a headboard for my mom. It turned out awesome!

Natalie hurt her hip so for about a week she would come over every morning and evening. Ryker loved having Lily over.
