Last Saturday night we went up to Bountiful to meet up with Kev's old mission
president and some other mission companions. We were able to attend a temple session up there. I have always wanted to go to that temple, so I'm glad we finally had a reason to go up there.
It's a pretty temple, it's looks almost exactly like the Timpanogos
temple. After the temple we all got together and ate dinner then had a
testimony meeting.
This last week I had the chance to go help with a golf tournament for work. It was nice to do something different. It was up in Heber. We got there at 7 in the morning and I was FREEZING! Then in the afternoon I had sweat dripping down my back haha. I didn't realize how pretty Heber was!
Shawn Bradly helped put on the golf tournament. He took a picture with everyone there. Can you believe how tall he is?! He is around 7' 6". His wife is about my height. I can't even imagine being married to someone that tall haha. There was also an old Jazz Basketball player who came, his nickmane was Memo. He is pretty tall too, but not even close to Shawn. When I first saw him, the first think I thought of was the story of Goliath. I think I heard Goliath was about 9 feet. I can understand why you would be scared of someone like that, especially if they were "thick" too.
Besides working at the golf tournament, I went down every day to do an audit in Mt Pleasant. I don't know how there came to be a town there haha. On the drive there, the other day there were rainbows the entire way. They were really pretty, I tried to catch on camera but it just doesn't do it justice.

Squaw Peak
A couple of Saturdays ago (September 6) we attempted to hike Squaw Peak... Again. It was honestly not very fun. Half way up there Kev said, 'this is the worst idea we have ever had.' To say the least, he hated it haha. It was a rough hike; it felt like it was straight up.. the entire time. I'm way out of shape too so that didn't help. But the view was pretty cool.
This picture is what I imagine when I think of Christ coming to Earth.

Labor Day Weekend
This Labor day weekend was pretty good. It was fun and relaxing! Friday night kev and I went to the MOA at BYU. They had costumes from actual
movies like Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom of the Opera. All I
have to say are actors and actresses are SO tiny and SO short!
I would not be able to fit into any of them. Afterwards we went to our favorite park and got eaten alive by
misquitoes haha We love that place. Hardly anyone goes there. There is a pathway around the park, a little creek... it is just nice. The sky looked pretty cool that night.
Saturday we went to Sheep Dog Days up in Soldier Hollow. I feel kind of nerdy saying we went there haha but we really liked it. One competition was the sheep herding competition. The dogs herd sheep based on their owners whistles. It was amazing! Those dogs are so smart.
They also had a splash thing, where dogs would try to jump as far as they could into the water. It was pretty fun to watch. Some of the dogs would double think about jumping in... and some would fall in.
They had a Compitition to see how fast the dogs could go, another one where the dogs would do an obstacle course. They also had the Orem police k9 unit come and do a demonstration. All I can say is I never want to be alone with those dogs.
They would have someone dress up in a marshmallow suite and have the dog attack them. Those dogs LOVE to attack and just hold on.
They also had a wild life demonstration that had some cool animals, which I unfortunately didn't get pictures of. But I did get pictures of a couple.
We almost adopted the cutest little puppy there as well. We were trying to figure out how we could keep it in our apartment...but since the manager lives right next to us, we didn't think it would be possible. But anyways, it was pretty cool! After that we played tennis, and racquet ball.
Sunday, Kev's niece Caitlin came over and chilled with us for a bit. It is her first week here at BYU. We ended up going up to Squaw peak to show her...where to never let a boy take her haha.
Monday Kev and I attempted to hike Squaw Peak haha. We totally missed the trail head. So we ended up just hiking to a camp ground. It was pretty but I was pretty disappointed. I was wanting to see an awesome view..and instead I got an outhouse, picnic table, and fire pit :) but oh well. It was a good workout.
Later that day we did some Tie Dye shirts. Kev had never made one so we had to do it.

Kev was in heaven, he loves birds!

It has such a cool view, I wish it was more clear.

I think they turned out pretty good!
That night we went to a family bbq. It's always good to be with family!
