Saturday we went to Sheep Dog Days up in Soldier Hollow. I feel kind of nerdy saying we went there haha but we really liked it. One competition was the sheep herding competition. The dogs herd sheep based on their owners whistles. It was amazing! Those dogs are so smart.
They also had a splash thing, where dogs would try to jump as far as they could into the water. It was pretty fun to watch. Some of the dogs would double think about jumping in... and some would fall in.
They had a Compitition to see how fast the dogs could go, another one where the dogs would do an obstacle course. They also had the Orem police k9 unit come and do a demonstration. All I can say is I never want to be alone with those dogs.
They would have someone dress up in a marshmallow suite and have the dog attack them. Those dogs LOVE to attack and just hold on.
They also had a wild life demonstration that had some cool animals, which I unfortunately didn't get pictures of. But I did get pictures of a couple.
Kev was in heaven, he loves birds!
We almost adopted the cutest little puppy there as well. We were trying to figure out how we could keep it in our apartment...but since the manager lives right next to us, we didn't think it would be possible. But anyways, it was pretty cool! After that we played tennis, and racquet ball.
Sunday, Kev's niece Caitlin came over and chilled with us for a bit. It is her first week here at BYU. We ended up going up to Squaw peak to show her...where to never let a boy take her haha.
It has such a cool view, I wish it was more clear.
Monday Kev and I attempted to hike Squaw Peak haha. We totally missed the trail head. So we ended up just hiking to a camp ground. It was pretty but I was pretty disappointed. I was wanting to see an awesome view..and instead I got an outhouse, picnic table, and fire pit :) but oh well. It was a good workout.
Later that day we did some Tie Dye shirts. Kev had never made one so we had to do it.
I think they turned out pretty good!
That night we went to a family bbq. It's always good to be with family!
