Christmas Time

I just LOVE Christmas! I love the smell, the decorations, the spirit...just everything! This Christmas season came out of no where and left way to quickly. But it was still good.

Kev went and got a tree for us and we finally got a tree stand. The last three years I have made a stand out of box. So we were pretty excited to have an easy, sturdy stand. The only problem was that a tree was too big for the stand. Kev was a good sport and got out a handy little steak knife to slim it. Then he had to use a bread knife. It was quite a site and I wish I would have gotten a picture. Kev was sawing away at the tree for almost an hour. He was dripping sweat. He is such a great guy, always trying to please me :) We finally got it up though and it looked and smelled great!

Kevin was also nice enough to watch a couple of the Hallmark Christmas shows. I know they are cheesy but I love them.

We also got together with my two old roommates, Courtney and Erynn and were able to do gingerbread houses. It brought back some fun memories.

Another fun thing we got to do this Christmas season, was welcome home Sister Cook. It was crazy, her 18 months flew by! I wasn't planning on crying or anything. But before she came down the escalator, a women serving in the army came home. She started down the stairs and then saw all these people for her including her boyfriend - or loved one. Her boyfriend left the crowd and ran towards her. They were both crying. All the emotion made me start crying. I think that kind of reunion needs to be see by every American at least once a year. At least for me, I forget that it is actual people fighting and protecting my rights. It was really neat, sad, and eye-opening for me.

So, a couple of minutes later Caitlin walked down. She saw all of us and she started crying. I did not think she was going to cry at all. Then my mom ran towards her and they were both crying. So then I started tearing up a little bit. ...was not planning on that at all. But it was good to see her again!

After we got her from the airport, we went to Olive Garden and then went and saw the lights. That is one of the traditions I love doing every year. But its pretty sad. They were used to put up SO many lights and now they don't do as many. But I still enjoy it.

Love him so much!

We were able to go up Idaho Falls for a week an a half. It was so nice just to do nothing. I didn't get any pictures of our break. But it was nice. We got some Christmas PJs!

Anyways, that was my Christmas season. I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me. He loves each one of us so much that he sent his son, to help each one of us get back to him. I am so grateful for knowledge I have of God's plan!
