Baby Blessing Weekend

This last weekend we came up to Idaho for Jaxon's farewell and to bless Ryker. But I do have some pictures to show before we came up.

 Trying on his blessing outfit

He adores his Dad!

We got to IF on Friday and that night we "got" to take family pictures. The men, especially Kev, HATE family pictures. But they were good sports. Here are what the pictures will look like..

My Grandma Kay came up and brought Dillon, Nathan, and Ryan. To entertain them, Saturday morning we woke up at 5:30 to head up to Wyoming to go rafting. When the alarm clock went off I nudged Kev to wake up. He said he was going to pass, then three seconds later he said, "I get to drive the BMW, I'm going!" and hopped out of bed. Haha silly guy. He Loves Cars and really likes driving my grandma's. Rafting was a lot of fun but freezing! I think this was the most wet I have ever gotten on a rafting trip and the coldest rafting trip I had been on. It was Kev's first time rafting too, but he really enjoyed it.

Thank goodness for wet suites! Kev looks like a giant in this picture!

Look at Kev's face! ...and Maddy's. Pure Terror :)

You are suppose to keep paddling through the rapids...I don't think we were very good at that.

We survived!

My mom was nice enough to watch Ryker while we went rafting.

We went and got square ice cream cones on the way home. When we got back into the car I noticed Ryker had crumbs all over his head - Caitlin wasn't the cleanest eater :)

Sunday we blessed Ryker. Kev was so nervous, especially nervous that Ryker would cry the whole time haha. But Ryker slept through it. (Kev likes to say that he has magic hands, because he can always put him to sleep.) Kev did such a god job - I'm so grateful for that he is a worthy priesthood holder. Here is a summary of the blessing: he blessed Ryker with a sound mind, while he was blessed to be born in these times there is also a lot of turmoil in the world today. He blessed him that he will be a light of sunshine in the world, an example to others and a disciple of Christ. He blessed him to council with his parents, grandparents and loved ones. Kev said Ryker was blessed to come to a family who loves him very much. Heavenly Father was so excited for him to come down here, for the opportunities that await him. He also bless him to find a spouse and to gain a testimony.... It was a beautiful prayer and I wish I could remember it word for word.

We had to take a four generation picture

It was a great weekend!
