Rice Cereal
This was Ryker's first time trying Rice Cereal. The video was to long so I had to split it up.

Laughing
So we still have to work pretty hard to get Ryker to laugh. Sometimes we get lucky and he just does it. I tried recording his laugh. It's not his full out laugh and the camera was facing the carpet, I just wanted to get the sound.

Four Months Old
Height: 25.5 inches 81%
Weight: 17 lbs 8 oz 97%
Head Circumference: 17 inches 90%
This past week I realized just how big and grown up Ryker is getting. I almost start crying whenever I really think about it. He hasn't quite mastered rolling over from his stomach to his back, he has done it twice. But he has started scooting around his play mat. In the picture below, his head is where his feet started out.
He also is starting to sit up better on his own:
He has better control of his hands and arms. He purposefully moves the spinning toys on his Exersaucer. He gets super excited when he makes eye contact with you - if you haven't tried to make eye contact in awhile. He is starting to laugh more, which is the best noise in the whole world. He is definitely ready to start eating solids. He is always reaching for our food now. He is slowly figuring out the whole napping thing - still working on sleeping through the night. He is way more active and we just love every second with him!
He wasn't very happy towards the end...
We love him!
Our First Home
Buying our condo had been terrible and super stressful. So last Tuesday, September 1st, at around 5 we found out that we would be able to close quicker if we were actually there to sign the papers. So we left that night and made it to Missoula. We stayed in a very sketchy hotel. The carpet was disgusting- I had shoes on the whole time. The walls were gross, didn't even think about showering there... I'm just glad we didn't catch any diseases there haha. - but we survived :)
The next day we drove forever. Ryker was not very fun. He cried quite a bit... Which made me cry. It was rough. And for some reason he was always the worst when I would be driving through curvy mountains. But we finally made it to the Seattle area. We went and signed our papers and then headed to Don's, house. We stayed in their RV that night. We ended up freezing! It wasn't until like 5 in the morning that we realized there were windows open. Oh well.
Thursday night we finally closed on the house! We got our keys, a home and a bunch of debt, Yah! Haha but we were able to move in that night. Our place is really nice. It war just remodeled so it's all nice and new. The carpet is heaven! It's the softest carpet I have ever felt! ... To bad Mozzie keeps peeing all over it, dang dog.
Don and his family helped us move in and I am so thankful! It would have taken us FOREVER to move everything by ourselves. When we first got there I met these three older ladies, they thought our baby was so cute and loved our puppy. One lady, Jane, asked what our babies name was. I told her 'Ryker'. She had a confused look on her face and said what? I replied 'Ryker'. She thought for a minute and said' hmm I like it. No one is going to have the same name as him.' I then told her my name was Chelsie. She had a disgusted look and said 'like Chelsea Clinton?!' I said yes and explained that I was not a Clinton. Jane is a pretty funny lady, just speaks her mind.
Friday we unpacked all day. There is a pretty strict HOA here with a bunch of rules. We were putting our boxes on our patio and someone called the HOA president, Frank, complaining about us ( there are only certain things allowed on patios here). It made us pretty frustrated. But then Frank came over and talked to Kev. He is a mid 40 year old, big black guy. He is awesome. He started talking to Kev and asked 'you know Moroni?' Kev was a little confused and said 'Uh yah I think I know the Moroni your talking about.' Frank went on to explain that that was his and his friends key phase to determine if someone was Mormon. He then talked to Kev for like 30 minutes about the church. Frank is a Jew.
Friday night we realized our water heater was not working. We ended up having to boil water for Ryker's bath. Saturday morning Frank was nice enough to come look at it. We couldn't figure it out so he is had a friend come and fix it for us and he is not making us pay for it - which we SO appreciate! So it finally got fixed Tuesday. So we have just been boiling some water. Kev tried to take a cold shower but he decided never again. It's definitely making me appreciate modern advances/technology.
While Frank was here he saw our Idaho Falls temple picture and said 'hey that's in Provo.' We told him it was in Idaho Falls. He walked closer to it and pointing to Moroni said 'that's Moroni!' We then told him that's where we got married. He said, 'who do you know?!' They don't let just anyone in there!' We weren't sure if he was kidding or serious. Kev just answered, 'God'. Haha. Frank told us that him and his wife were talking and they wanted to have us over for dinner. Then he asked us, ' what can you eat?' We kind of looked at him started laughing and said pretty much anything. He was just kidding though, he said he is always getting that kind of question and his response is he isn't Muslim... So I'm guessing he's not an 'active' Jew following the law of Moses. Its going to be fun getting to know him.
Saturday night we went on a walk to the Lake. Every single old person we passed could not help but comment on our baby and puppy, saying 'two babies?!' it was like they thought we were crazy... Which maybe we are. The view from the lake was pretty but smelt terrible! You cant swim in the water right now because of harmful bacteria. I'm not sure we will go there again till next spring, when its hopefully smelling better! I put Mozzie in the stroller with Ryker to get a picture. Ryker loved it! He thought it was pretty funny to pull on her hair/skin.
Sunday we went to our ward. It's going to be good. I can already tell there are quite a bit of people with very different backgrounds. I'm not sure if some of the people there are investigating or just recently baptized, it's going to be fun.
This last week was the first week that I have been alone with Ryker and Mozzie while Kev was gone. It's going to be a hard transition, but I am so grateful for Kev, his hard work and the job he has.
I was vacuuming with Mozzie and Ryker on the couch. Mozzie kept getting closer and closer to Ryker as if Ryker was going to protect her from the scary vacuum haha Ryker just pulled her hair.
I try to take Mozzie on walks every day. She is still learning and just whines the entire time. I'm sure everyone around us just thinks I am a terrible pet owner because she sounds like she is in pain - she's not. But the other day I had had enough so I put her in the stroller.
Here are picture of our home, we are still trying to figure out where to hang up the pictures
Like I said earlier, the HOA is pretty strict. I don't think they liked the way our patio looked, so Frank gave us his old table and chairs haha It looks much better and we appreciate it...But I just feel like we are white trash here. And I really don't think we are close to being white trash, but here, we are. So that's fun. Anyways we do like our place, still trying to make it feel like home.
