Our week in Idaho started with me going shopping with my mom- always a good way to start the week! haha We also went and saw Fault of our Stars, definitely a tear jerker! Tuesday we started our day way early! We left at 5:30 to go up to Jackson Hole to go rafting! It was pretty fun!
Ignore my screen shots :)
While we were rafting we saw a Bald Eagle, like 10 feet away, fly by with a huge fish in its talons. It was pretty neat.
After our rafting trip we went up to the Teton National Park. We first hiked up to Taggert Lake. It was beautiful!!!! The water was so clear, there was hardly anyone there. We were so sad that we hadn't brought tubes and our swimming suites.
Had to get a picture of our matching toe nails.
Then we headed off to Jenny's lake. We got on the ferry to cross the lake and the ferry ended up having to save two ladies. One had fallen our of their kayaking and couldn't get in. By the time we got back to shore it started pouring! It was freezing!
Once we got to the other side we hiked up to hidden falls. It was so pretty!
After that hike we drove to our hotel near West Yellowstone. We were able to watch a neat lightening storm on the way over there. I was trying to get a good picture of it but this is the only picture I could get.
The Tetons are so pretty. The weather made the pictures pretty cool. No editing was done :)
That night we went to the Playmill theater and watched Beauty and the Beast. I LOVE the Playmill. They did a good job too!
Waiting in line
The next day we drove throughout Yellowstone. It is so pretty! But it was pretty sad, we only saw a couple of elk and ONE buffalo! But we did see a baby elk splashing around in the creek, it was pretty cute.
One of my favorite moments went like this: We stopped at an outhouse. Before we left, a couple of cars had stopped to use the outhouse as well. My mom got into our car, and very seriously and pointing to the people lining up at the outhouse, she said, "Maddy I want you to know what kind of example and role model we can be for others." haha I was laughing so hard.
Anyways, that was our girls trip. Kev came home from Florida Wednesday night. I missed him SO much! He had a lot of fun at Disney World, except it was really hot. Glad he got the chance, but glad to have him back.
That weekend we went with Kevin's family up to Island Park. We got up there and fished for a little bit with no luck. That night we sat around the camp fire and looked up at the stars. I LOVE being in the outdoors. The next day Kev woke up early in the morning SO excited to go fishing! He was like a little boy haha it was so cute! Then he didn't catch anything all day long! I felt so bad for him. I caught two fish but he had no such luck.
It was so nice being back home with family, we really enjoyed our time with them!
